Solid

For the bulkiness it's quite light, very solid and sterdy (60mm length) with 5mm allen bolts so would be very difficult to round out. Very happy

Well made piece of kit

I am a leisure cyclist who bought this to reduce my reach to the handlebars. Went from 75mm to 40mm after fitting this stem. Solidly built and well finished. Great buy.

Great upgrade

I was using a 75mm stem on my bike and was struggling with downhill riding. I bought this shorter stem in the hope it would make my bike better in the corners etc. I was sceptical but what a difference! Bike has been transformed and it looks great. Great upgrade!

Great Buy

Serious improvement from a 100mm stem. As others have said, good solid build and fairly lightweight (not a concern unless you're into racing....and then a £20 stem probably isn't what you're looking for!). Really good value for money and looks good as well!

Solid stuff at a not bad price

This stem is seriously solid - I can't see it ever breaking or anything like that, and it doesn't look too bad either. Weight isn't amazing but i's good for the size and strength.

Well made and very stiff. Looks better in real life than on the photo. Great value.

Stems Guide

What are stems?

The stem is the component that attaches your handlebar to your fork steerer. It has a clamp at either end, at 90 degrees to each other.

Who needs a stem?

Stems rarely need to be changed due to damage, but you might decide on an upgrade to save weight or to change your reach on your bike.

What are the choices?

Although your choice will partly be based on getting the right clamp size for your handlebars, you will also need to decide what length stem you want. Longer stems will increase your reach, while a shorter stem will decrease it and can sharpen up your bike’s handling.

What should I buy with them?

Many people will choose to upgrade their handlebar along with their stem, for compatibility or to get a pleasing matching set.

Anything else?

It’s crucial that you check the clamps at both ends of your stem are compatible – you need one for the right size headset and the right handlebar width.
