The SB165 MX C3 GX AXS Factory is built for riders who want maximum confidence when the trail gets steep, rough and unpredictable. The mixed-wheel setup – 29in up front for rollover and stability, 27.5in at the rear for agility – creates a balanced ride that encourages you to stay centred and committed on technical descents.
The C Series carbon frame uses Yeti’s refined Switch Infinity suspension platform, paired here with custom coil kinematics designed specifically around the FOX Factory DHX2 shock. With 165mm of rear travel and a 180mm FOX Factory 38 GRIP X2 fork up front, the SB165 delivers strong small-bump sensitivity and controlled support deeper in the stroke. The progression is tuned to offer grip and composure without feeling harsh when things get hectic.
Geometry reflects its big-mountain intent. A slack head angle adds confidence on steep terrain, while a steep seat tube angle keeps your weight centred for efficient climbing. Shorter chainstays help bias traction towards the rear wheel, working with the MX layout to keep handling lively without sacrificing stability.
The patented two-piece shock wishbone positions the coil shock lower and further forward in the frame. This improves clearance, increases compatibility with different shock setups and keeps stand-over height manageable. The refined main frame silhouette also improves ground clearance and overall chassis stiffness for a more direct, controlled feel.
SRAM GX Eagle AXS Transmission provides wireless 12-speed shifting with a wide 10–52T cassette, offering dependable performance on long climbs and technical transitions. SRAM Maven Base hydraulic disc brakes bring powerful, consistent stopping control to match the bike’s descending focus.
DT Swiss E1900 wheels are matched with a Schwalbe Magic Mary Trail Pro 2.5 Ultra Soft front tyre and Schwalbe Albert Gravity Pro 2.5 Soft rear, delivering dependable grip and braking traction across loose, rocky and steep terrain.
Finished with Burgtec cockpit components and a OneUp dropper post with size-specific travel, the SB165 MX C3 GX AXS Factory is built for riders who don’t want to question their bike choice when the trail turns serious.
