The Specialized Stumpjumper was born in 1981 and has gone from strength to strength to keep up with the demands of today’s mountain bikers seeking bigger and faster challenges. As one of Specialized’s flagship models, the Stumpjumper is packed with state of the art components and has developed into an agile weapon, with all models benefitting from trail taming 29er wheels.

The Specialized Stumpjumper is a hardtail 29er, built for speed over the most challenging terrain. You get a smooth and controlled ride from the ultra-compliant FACT IS carbon frame whilst the competitive XC geometry provides rapid acceleration and lively handling due to the slacker head tube angle, shorter chainstays and taller bottom bracker. Wheelsets don’t come much lighter than the new Roval 29 variations featured in the Stumpjumper range and XC Fast Trak tyres have stood their ground in the World Cup.

Ultra light frame

What? FACT carbon frame

 

Why? Lighter frames improve speed and give you greater control over rough terrain.  Carbon frames are very light and stiff, great for rapid acceleration and superior handling.  The XC 29” geometry includes a tapered headtube and short chainstays for quick acceleration and superior handling.

RockShox forks

What? RockShox Brain forks (RockShox Reba on basic model)

 

Why? Helps the Stumpjumper take the impact of your riding, with active suspension and provides efficient climbing, and out of the saddle acceleration when you need it.

Wheelset

What?Ultralight Roval wheelsets

Why? To improve climbing and acceleration out of the corners, the extremely lightweight Roval wheels keep the Stumpjumper agile.
