Everyday gloves

These are GREAT. I have at least 6 pairs of cycling gloves, for all conditions. These are "just right" for spring, autumn, and those days in winter that are in between. I wear them on their own, also as under layer to my fingerless cycle gloves. When I say everyday gloves, that is a huge compliment. I'm buying more!

Gloves

Good gloves would recommend them.I was unsure about whether I needed cycling gloves at first but they felt quite comfortable. I wouldn't say they are anything special but just average gloves that d the job.

How to get the best fit

Generally a man's glove size corresponds to his body size (Medium = Medium Gloves), if this is the first time you've bought gloves, it is wise to measure your hand with a cloth tape-measure.

  1. 1. Measure the length in centimeters around your dominant hand (right if you are right handed) at its broadest point, excluding thumb.
  2. 2. Measure from the tip of the middle finger to the heel of the hand.
  3. 3. Use the largest of these two measurements, usually the circumference, to suggest the correct size glove for you. This size should apply to fitted open and full fingered gloves

Cycling Gloves Guide

What are cycling gloves?

Cycling gloves are specially adapted to cosset your hands while riding. Cycling can put a lot of pressure on your palms, so dedicated bike gloves are very important.

Who needs cycling gloves?

Every rider will benefit from gloves. They aren’t just to keep your hands warm – they provide grip, protection and essential padding.

What are the choices?

Long fingered for winter, short fingered or mitts for summer. Off roaders might want long gloves, perhaps with armoured knuckles, all year round. There are gloves with minimal padding and seams, or mitts with gel cushioning to protect your nerves.

What should I buy with it?

More gloves! Most cyclists will need a long fingered pair of gloves in winter and mitts for summer.

Anything else?

About that little bit of terry fabric on the thumb – yes, it really is for wiping your snotty nose on as you ride. Because of this, you really need to be washing your gloves as often as you wash the rest of your kit.
