    Potentially amazing but falls short!

Having owned my pair all over last winter riding mainly Northern trail centre's, mostly Llandegla , I feel qualified to give an accurate review. 1- The fit is shocking, way, way to small for the given size. Consider buying one to two sizes larger than you'd normally purchase.& yes, I agree with other reviews size 10 & above, don't bother! 2- Once on (after three falls & a submission!) they really are warm & they don't move but keep your feet dry n toastie. 4- It takes very extreme conditions before water gets past the rubber rand 5- Great feel & don't effect the grip of your 5.10's Now that's the general stuff out of the way, basically yes but they work they have one massive flaw! Their Achilles Heal (excuse the pun) is the way they are secured. The Velcro which runs the full length of the rear from the top to bottom of the heal. The problem is the way the Velcro is attached to the neoprene of which the overshoes is constructed. It's just stitched around the perimeter of the Velcro strip. Due to the action of pulling on a very tight fit overshoe it causes the stitching snap or tear the neoprene which in turn detaches the Velcro from where it's stitched into the rand leaving a gaping gap. This has occurred on both of my overshoes. I contacted Enduro to bring this to their attention (& offer a possible solution) whose design dept. did respond with a "Thank you, we'll bear it in mind" leaving me to resolve the issue myself. This was to get the nice man from Timpsons Cobblers to stitch a box & cross at the heal area to reinforce the bottom of the Velcro strip. This solution works as it stops the Velcro tearing or detaching. it's just a shame Enduro don't treat customer feedback seriously. So to sum up, Enduras version are worth 3 stars but my modified version at least 4 stars. Shame it cost me a further £7 to make them fit for purpose.

    Shocking Fit

Never had a pair of overshoes before and thought before the Dyfi winter warm up I would invest....it took me half an hour to get these over my five tens and I still ended up with soggy feet. Try carrier bags....cheaper and easier to get on

    Sizing is bizarre

This is what I've been waiting for. All points irrelevant as they wont fit a large majority of male mountain bikers. Why on earth would you not cater for size 10-11, especially given the small sizing of Five tens. I take a 10 but need 11 in 5-10s. Maybe a bit more market research required!

    endura overshoes

not a bad idea but a pain to pull over shoes, once there tho they don`t move, and are pretty much forgot about, i even drove in them, didn`t seem as waterproof as their made out. in cold weather they`ll keep tootsies warm. fit over five ten shoes perfectly. they don`t affect shoe grip at all.

    Overshoes Guide

    What are overshoes?

Overshoes are stretchy covers that you wear over your cycling shoes to protect your feet from the weather. They have holes in the bottom so your cleats can still engage with your pedals. They are also sometimes called oversocks or even Belgian booties.

    Who needs overshoes?

Anyone riding in the wind, rain, or both. They really help keep your feet warm and dry.

    What are the choices?

You can get overshoes for mountain biking or road. It’s important to get the right sort, as they are shaped differently to fit over road or mountain shoes and have the cleat holes shaped differently.  Overshoes are available which are windproof, waterproof, extra warm, or have a combination of these traits. Oversocks are usually thinner, lightweight and give some wind chill protection.

What should I buy with it?

If you’re cycling in really cold weather a good pair of cycling socks will really help add an extra layer of insulation.

    Anything else?

Pay attention to the protective properties of overshoes – it’s no good having totally waterproof overshoes if you’re cycling in frozen, dry conditions. Likewise, there’s not much point having windproof booties if your feet are sopping wet.
