Pedals
by Anonymous user on 01/08/2019

These rotate freely and needed no adjustment before fitting, only time will tell how long they will last but a previous pair are still going strong, unlike a cheaper pair of lookalikes which needed bearings adjusting & fell apart at the rivets.

Great Quality...worth the wait

Pedals look and function great on my vintage Dawes Galaxy...Pity there were no built in reflector panels on the pedals , but still very happy.

Sylvain touring pedals
by David C on 20/07/2017

Very pleased with my purchase. I find them far more comfortable than the streams for when I'm touring.

Great pedals.
by Paul M on 18/06/2017

They feel great, ride great and they move very smooth, what more to ask? At first I was a little bit sceptical about these because of the kind of flat platform but they are really really adherent, especialy if you use toe clips. As a traveler I must say that something very important to take in consideration is that these can be mounted with a hex key so you don't need to take a pedal wrench with you if you make a very long trip. After all- very good pedals.

Great pedals
by Paul S on 12/03/2016

Whilst 'proper' cyclists use clipless pedals, I like to be able to walk once arrived at my destination, so these pedals, with clips and straps suit me fine. I've had MKS pedals for years and when they eventually wear out, I just buy another pair. Can't be beat.

Well made
by Caleb G on 09/03/2016

These are very rugged pedals. The ball bearings make for very smooth movement and they have are certainly good looking. It is an all metal construction with solid welds so I expect these will last a long time.

Beautiful smooth pedals
by Raffaele C on 03/07/2015

Put these on my Specialized hybrid. Paired with a Madison Flux brown saddle, my bike gets an instant retro look. Super smooth bearings (flick 'em and watch 'em spin), Out of the box they felt a little rough, but once the grease had distributed they feel great. I've worn dealer boots and flat-bottomed trainers with these and noticed no slipping. Construction quality is top-notch and they look great, like something from a shiny HG Wells contraption. The pedals are a good size, but not massive. I wear a size 10 normal width, and with regular shoes or trainers my foot covers the entire pedal. The end cap does not protrude further than the side of my foot. I bought the special spanner to remove the end cap so I can service them later. I think these pedals are great value and should last many years.

Threw the stock pedals on my new Revolution Explorer in the bin. These new MKS Sylvan Touring pedals are in my view simply the best for confortable distance touring. Thanks
