Product Description

THE NEW SILVER STANDARD
The brand new RockShox Recon Silver sets the new benchmark for value-based performance. The new Recon represents a perfect partnership between our venerable Reba’s crown and lower legs and bombproof steel stanchions. This new chassis allows a significant decrease in stanchion length, which means the Recon Silver just went on a serious weight-loss program. The re-invented Recon is the new silver standard for fun.

Good fork
by Nick E on 08/02/2019

These would be a great fork if you got what was advertised, these no longer come with v brake mounts and the ones I received were 2017 graffix not the latest 2018 rockshox graffix as stated so call and check before ordering

Great upgrade for the “Old School Bike?”
by Anonymous user on 02/11/2018

After reading many reviews across the web I made the jump for this fork and I assure you I’m not at all disappointed - 5 stars from me. My Specialized Rockhopper is a 2001 edition and the original forks with coil spring had served me well over the years on Cannock Chase trails but now that it’s going to serve as a commuter bike during the week- The obvious upgrade was a new fork with lock out and this is The One to tick ✔️ all the boxes for me. 26” wheel with V brake is now days seen as old school and a fork to suit is more commonly found in the budget bracket but with its discounted pice from Tredz this gave me a Air fork for just a 10% price increase over what I would have paid for an equivalent coil fork from Rockshox on eBay- trust me that small extra price tag REALLY IS WORTH PAYING FOR ! Fitting hint - if you to have a bike like mine that is nearly 18 years old and has never needed a new headset in its well served life then when fitting this supper upgrade to bring it up to speed you may want to consider the little extra money to replace the headset at the same time as the new bearings on the Hope conventional headset have complimented this new fork to give me what feels like a New Bike.

Not as pictured
by Colin H on 26/10/2017

Product not as pictured, it comes with both caliper mount and v-brake mounts, for a 2018 model why should it come with v-brake mounts.
