Offering serious protection while being easier to wear and less rigid than body armour, the Stage Ghost D30 Long Sleeve Base Layer is perfect for downhill or freeriders looking to compete with confidence, as well as enduro fanatics anticipating spills.

As its name suggests, most of the pads used in this base layer – those for your chest, shoulders and elbows – are D30®Ghost™pads, designed to be thin and flexible. Thanks to Impact Print™ technology, they also mould to offer an unrivalled fit, so you can put them on and forget about them.

Safety is never compromised in the name of comfort, though. D30™ pads exceed the required CE Level 1 certification, so you can rest assured that your PPE is fit for purpose. Extra protection for your back is offered by the thick D30® Viper pad, which exceeds Level 2 certification and offers spinal coverage to keep you safe in the event of an impact or off.

A bonus safety feature is the moulded PU side pads, which will shield your ribs from errant branches as you speed past or provide cushioning against road rash. Meanwhile, the body of the base layer is light, stretchy and breathable, with engineered ventilation zones under the arms and perforations throughout, ensuring it’ll be cool enough to keep on when you’re working hard – which is when it is most likely to be needed!

All the while, a Pad Anchor System will ensure your pads remain firmly over vulnerable areas of your upper body while you move and change positions. Perfect pad placement is further assured by the presence of silicone infused banding at the sleeves and a ¾ length zipper down the left side of the garment that lets you achieve a snug fit.

You’ll find the Stage Ghost D30 Long Sleeve Base Layer light and flexible enough to wear comfortably for most of the day, but substantial enough so you’ll feel ready and able put in your best effort when jumping, racing or speeding downhill.
