Mudguards

Mudguards for bikes are very useful, especially when cycling through a British winter. Bike mudguards are there to keep you clean, free from water and grit on the roads or trails. A bike mudguard will also help to keep your bike clean and safe from any damaging debris flicking up while you ride.

Mudguards for commuting: if you commute to work every day fitting a mudguard set to your bike will save you a lot of bother. Even if it’s not raining you can get wet from road spray without the protection that a mudguard offers.

Mudguards for mountain bikes: an MTB mudguard attached to the fork of your mountain bike is the best way to stop trail spray from hitting your face. Even short enduro mountain bike mudguards can make a big difference to your vision when riding wet trails.

Road bike mudguards: there is a lot of choice if your road bike has mudguard mounts. However, most carbon road bikes don’t have mounts, so you’ll need to fit a road bike mudguard that attaches to the fork and rear stays of the bike. If you just want to keep the spray off your behind, then a small rear bike mudguard that clips to your saddle will do nicely.
