Fox Podium Fork Review

Inverted Design. Direct Feel. Unshakable Front End.

Smooth Is Fast

If you're looking for the next level of confidence on your eMTB or enduro bike, the Fox Podium delivers. It rides like a downhill fork but keeps your bike playful, stable, and razor-sharp when you’re pushing the limits.

Suspension Travel: 170mm / 160mm

First Look Video

It’s not every day you get to ride something this fresh—we met up with Antonio from Silverfish, the UK FOX Suspension distributor, to find out more and try it out.

Oversized Uppers & Crown

You’ll feel the difference right away. The 47mm upper tubes and huge crown make the front end incredibly stiff, like a DH fork. That’s 9mm larger than Fox 38 stanchions, bringing it close to FOX 40 downhill-level stiffness. It holds your line no matter how rough, steep, or fast the trail gets.

Larger Diameter Axle

Instead of the usual 15mm axle you see on most single crown forks, Fox uses a 20x110mm Boost DH custom steel axle here. That bigger axle boosts torsional stiffness massively, keeping steering rock-solid even when you're threading through technical descents at speed.

Bushing Overlap

The Podium’s massive 175mm bushing overlap is 32% more than the Fox 38 and even 7% more than the FOX 40. Less flex, more stability and super smooth travel when you’re hammering through chunky sections at race pace.

Shorter Bushing to Axle

With its inverted design, as the fork compresses the axle moves closer to the lower bushing. That reduces bending leverage on the bushing, meaning less flex and less friction deep into the travel — exactly when you need the fork to stay planted.

Full Oil Immersion

Unlike standard forks that rely on splash lubrication, Podium’s inverted layout keeps oil constantly flowing down to the seals. That means consistent lubrication, reduced contamination risk and buttery smooth performance every time you ride.

GlideCore Air Spring

The GlideCore air spring is built to flex sideways under load, so it won’t bind when you smash through rough sections. Nitrile Butadiene rings add axial compliance too, improving small bump sensitivity and keeping the front wheel glued.

Grip X2 Damper

The GRIP X2 damper is custom-tuned for this chassis, adding more compression support and dialling back rebound slightly to match the lower unsprung weight. You stay higher in the travel with killer traction and less hand fatigue on big days.

Lower Unsprung Weight

By flipping the heavier parts up top, the fork drops unsprung weight significantly. That means your wheel reacts faster to the terrain, your tyre stays better connected, and the fork stays lively and active even when you’re flat-out. Factory versions also feature full carbon guards to protect those Kashima coated stanchions.

At the end of the day, Podium gives you more control, more confidence, and less fatigue on every ride. Whether you're charging enduro stages or sending big eMTB descents, this fork keeps your front wheel planted, smooth, and ready for whatever the trail throws your way.
