Shimano XTR M9200 Drivetrain

Shimano XTR M9200

Introducing Shimano’s new fully wireless Di2 XTR M9200 mountain bike groupset. The no-compromise Di2 drivetrain delivers Shimano’s precise and lightning-quick electronic shifting capabilities, with increased durability across each component. As well as powerful stopping power from an updated braking system using ERGO FLOW technology.

Wireless Shifting

The Shimano SW-M9250IR Di2 shifter switch with RAPID ES technology brings the tactile precision of mechanical shifting into a modern wireless format. Designed for trail control and customisation, it offers multi-axis adjustability, a tactile click for each shift, and multiple shift modes to suit your style. A programmable third button adds further control, including FREE SHIFT or bike computer functions via the E-TUBE app. With I-SPEC EV and clamp band options, it seamlessly integrates into any cockpit setup.

Shimano XTR M9200 Derailleur

Robust Derailleur

The Shimano XTR M9250 rear derailleur is built for aggressive trail riding. Its SHADOW ES technology creates a low-profile and its wedge-shaped design reduces the chance of rock strikes. When impacts do occur, the derailleur’s automatic impact recovery function quickly resets it to maintain shifting precision. The battery is housed inside the derailleur body for protection, yet is easily accessible for charging. For E-MTB riders, the RD-M9260 version draws constant power from the e-bike’s battery and features SHIMANO’s FREE SHIFT for coasting gear changes, plus AUTO SHIFT for smooth, automatic shifting while pedalling.

Powerful Braking System

The Shimano XTR brake range delivers three tailored setups: a lightweight option for XC, a powerful setup for enduro, and a balanced setup for all-round control. The BL-M9220 trail/enduro brake lever features a refined SERVOWAVE curve for smooth, progressive power and ERGO FLOW technology for consistent piston rebound. Low-viscosity mineral oil ensures stable performance across a wide temperature range. Paired with the BR-M9220 4-piston caliper, it offers superb modulation, power, and control with a rattle-free design.

Shimano XTR M9200 crankset

Durable Crankset Design

The Shimano XTR M9200 crankset offers two discipline-specific options. The FC-M9220 is a trail and enduro crankset featuring a robust, impact-resistant spindle, 176mm Q-factor, and HOLLOWTECH II design for efficient power transfer. The FC-M9200 is optimised for cross-country, offering a lightweight build, 168mm Q-factor, and the same proven technology. Both models feature a 55mm chainline and are available in multiple crank lengths, ensuring the right fit for a range of riders and setups.

Whether you are building up your XC, Trail or Enduro bike, or looking to upgrade your current mountain bike with electronic shifting, Shimano's XTR M9200 groupset offers fast and reliable shifting on rough terrain, combined with powerful stopping power on steep descents.
