Fat Bikes

Fat bikes are mountain bikes that are built for riding on loose surfaces, like sand and snow, and offer a capable alternative to a regular MTB on dirt trails. A fat bike is characterised by ultra-wide tyres of over 4" (standard MTB's run 2" – 2.6” tyres) which can be ridden at super lower pressures, down to 10 psi - or under. This offers exceptional grip thanks to a larger tyre contact patch, as well as soaking up more of the bumps on the trail, so you can roll over then easier, thanks to the extra ‘float’ offered by the high-volume tyres.
