“ I had a nice bike but never got round to buying decent pedals. I already had Shimano shoes and cleats and was very happy with them so went for these Shimano pedals. They arrived on time. I am not in the racing league were every gram matters, but they feel a little lighter than my previous pedals. The tension was tight (for me) and it was very easy to loosen the tension equally across all 4 springs (forgot to mention, can use the pedal either side). There is a definite click when I loosened the spring each notch down. Works well with my existing Shimano cleats so I have a spare brand new pair of Shimano cleats that came with the pedals. I am happy with the purchase.
