Marin Rift Zone E Range Review
A trail bike, but faster and more fun!
The Marin Rift Zone E is an electric mountain bike that will allow you to ride the trails all day long. Ride further, faster and even have more fun. The Rift Zone E takes the less is more approach, and is a trail bike that creates a confidence-boosting, pedal-assisted platform on any terrain.
Frameset
The Rift Zone E brings fun to your ride. With longer travel and reach, you will be in full control when tackling technical descents and fast trails sections.
All Rift Zone E models utilize the same frame, with a capacity of up to a 630Wh battery. The base model, the Rift Zone E is paired with a 504Wh battery with the same size and shape as the larger capacity version, but can be upgraded to a larger battery in the future, if the rider is so inclined.
Assistance
Rift Zone models are equipped with Shimano STEPs drive units across the board, with the E2 utilizing the latest EP801 model, and the E1 and E powered by the new EP6, all producing up to 85Nm of torque.
You will be able to do a few more extra trail runs, with the minimum amount of effort but with the maximum amount of enjoyment on the downhill sections.
Rift Zone E
The base model Marin Rift Zone E packs a crazy-powerful punch without busting the bank. RockShox and X-Fusion handle the suspension, Shimano Deore brings a tough, reliable 10-speed drivetrain and Shimano’s brand-new STEPS EP6 drive unit powers you up, along and down. A 504WH battery is supplied as standard, with the option to upgrade to a beefy 630WH for even more range.
Rift Zone E 1
The Rift Zone E 1 is beautifully balances performance and value. RockShox handles the suspension, Shimano Deore brings a tough, reliable 11-speed drivetrain and Shimano’s brand-new STEPS EP6 drive unit powers you up, along and down. A 630WH battery is supplied as standard for maximum range and Marin have included CushCore tire inserts and Marin tubeless sealant straight out of the box.
Rift Zone E 2
The Rift Zone E 2 is the top of the Rift Zone range but still keeps the price tag down to earth. With Fox suspension, Shimano STEPS EP8 drive unit, Shimano’s XT 11-speed LINKGLIDE drivetrain and a 630WH battery for maximum range, the Rift Zone E 2 delivers maximum enjoyment. And, like with the E1, this model includes CushCore tire inserts and Marin tubeless sealant straight out of the box.
