Full Carbon Frame
Building on the success of the original alloy framed Megawatt this new bike features a full carbon frame. The frame is optimized for strength and weight and the easily removable battery is fully enclosed within the downtube.
Built to take on the most demanding trails, the low long and slack geometry delivers a settled and stable yet playful and agile ride quality. The Megawatt Carbon has been tested at the very highest level and has already won E-Enduro World Series stages.
SRAM Eagle Powertrain
With Powertrain SRAM have integrated the drivetrain, motor, battery and software into one cohesive package. The T-Type AXS rear derailleur is powered by the main battery and is linked to the motor software which enables the drivetrain to function in unison with the power unit.
Features like Auto Shift and Coast Shift offer new potential for a simpler ride experience, one where the rider can focus on the trail while the bike looks after the controls.
Motor & Battery
The motor is built by Brose, runs on SRAM software and delivers a maximum torque of 90Nm with a peak power output of 680W. Power delivery is smooth and intuitive. Battery capacity is 720Wh on all models.
Keeping things simple there are just two power modes; Range for longer distance rides where you want to conserve battery capacity, Rally to harness the maximum power available on shorter rides. Both modes are customizable within the AXS app.
Simple Control
The two AXS pod controllers on either side of the handlebars are all you need to control the motor modes, gear shifts and dropper post. Personalization features are available within the app.
Auto Shift changes gears automatically to keep your legs spinning at the same speed, and you can set your optimum cadence within the AXS app. You can still opt to shift manually, and it’s easy to swap between these two methods on the fly. Coast shift allows you to shift manually even while you’re not peddling.
RockShox Suspension
With 170mm suspension travel front and rear the Nukeproof Megawatt Carbon is built for taking on the most challenging trails and has proved its capabilities at the very highest level.
Both models of the Megawatt Carbon feature a 170mm travel RockShox ZEB fork with a RockShox Vivid shock. The Pro gets the Select + fork and shock while the RS features top-of-the-range Ultimate versions.
Mullet Wheels
The Megawatt Carbon features Nukeproof’s 297 wheel set up. This means you get a 29” wheel up front with a 27.5” wheel on the rear. The larger front wheel gives you more traction and better roll over ability while the smaller back wheel makes the bike feel more playful and easier to manoeuvre in tight spaces.
