Specialized Status 2 Range Review
From Park, to Street, to Dirt.
The Status 2 lets you ride your way, whether you are riding the trails, bike parks or the streets.
Ready for all terrain
The Status 2 is a durable trail bike designed to be ridden however and wherever you ride. With the same design and level of engineering that the Stumpjumper and Epic bikes have, the Status has the same snappy and poppy ride. It is at home on technical singletrack and even challenging stairs in the street.
Durable Frame
The Status 2 build all starts with the super strong M5 alloy chassis, featuring updated aggressive trail geometry and neatly placed flip chips close to the rear axle, allowing you to finely tune the frame’s geometry for your riding style and terrain. Shorter chainstays deliver snappy handling on the descents, and a steeper seat tube angle keeps you in the best position possible for the climb back up.
A Status for Everyone
The Status 2 is available in 2 different travel options for aggressive trail riding and downhill adventures; available in 170mm and even a Downhill option with a 180mm Rockshox BoXXer fork for big jumps and bike park trips. These 3 options mean you can pick your bike that suits your riding style and terrain. This flexibility ensures optimal performance whether you're hitting big jumps, navigating rocky descents, or tackling technical climbs.
Mullet Set Up
Just like the previous Status, the Status 2 includes a stable 29” front wheel and nimble 27.5” rear wheel. This mullet set up both improves handling on technical descents and helps with rolling speed on those faster trails. Both wheels are tubeless-ready, allowing for lower tyre pressures and increased traction. Specialized’s durable alloy wheels allow you to push your boundaries.
Whether you are looking to push your limits on challenging trails or shred with your mates, the Status 2 will not let you down.
