The One-Sixty FR is designed for the bike park, sending jump lines and having good times - on repeat.

BUILT TO SEND

The newest iteration of the One-Sixty, the FR takes the tried-and-true aluminium Lite frame technology from the One-Sixty and enhances it to craft a high-performance mountain bike, purpose-built for tackling bike parks and gnarly trails. This beast is built to withstand relentless riding, ensuring you can hit the trails from sunrise to sunset with confidence.

Aluminium Lite frame

Both models in the range come with an aluminium Lite frame, which keeps the frame lightweight and durable. You can send it lap after lap at your local bike park, confident that the bike will keep asking for more. The aggressive geometry makes the bike feel like a downhill bike, that you can pedal back to the top.

Merida One-Sixty FR AGILOMETER frame sizing

AGILOMETER Size Concept

Merida uses their AGILOMETER Sizing concept, which allows the rider to choose the bikes handling characteristics outside of leg length. The length of the bike is used to denote its sizing, ranging from Extra Short to Extra Long. Each bike comes with a 230mm dropper post that can be adjusted down to suit each rider’s height. The rider can choose short for more agility, long for more stability, or opt for a balance of both.

Wheel Size

All bikes come set up as mullet as standard, 29” in the front and 27.5” at the back. However, if you want to run it as a full 29er, the bike has a flip chip, so all you need is a 29” wheel and the bike can accommodate it. The bike comes with dual casing/downhill tyres as standard wrapped around wheels designed to be strong and durable.

Suspension

The One-Sixty FR gets a boost to the front suspension travel up to 180mm, with 171mm of rear travel. The 180mm travel boosts the capabilities of the FR, making rougher trails smoother. The One-Sixty FR 600 comes with DVO Onyx forks, which offer a more composed and tuneable ride. The One-Sixty FR 400 comes with SR Suntour Durolux, these are effective and simpler to set-up.

FAST Kinematic

The rear suspension of the bike employs Merida's well-proven FAST kinematic system, delivering a plush and precisely controlled feel. The design incorporates a flexstay arrangement, eliminating the need for a seat stay pivot, which not only reduces weight but also minimizes maintenance requirements. The P-FLEX flexstay design was rigorously tested by independent laboratories and passed with flying colours.

Rear Suspension

To complement the FAST kinematic, Merida has made the transition to a linear coil-sprung shock, departing from the air shocks found on One-Sixty models. This change harmonises seamlessly with the FAST kinematic design. The softer initial travel provides exceptional grip over small bumps, the progressive mid-stroke support aids in manoeuvring through turns and handling jumps, and the highly progressive ending stroke effectively counters bottom-out forces.

Specced for Longevity

Merida have prioritised the components that matters most to riders, suspension and brakes, as these parts that tend to stay for the life of the bike. Having higher a higher spec fork and shock means you will have a more controlled ride that you can adjust to suit your style.

The One-Sixty FR comes with 4-piston brakes and massive 220mm front rotors, this gives consistent and powerful braking whether at the top of the mountain or the bottom.

With a Lite aluminium frame, plush suspension and powerful brakes, the Merida One-Sixty FR is everything you want from a downhill bike, but with the ability to pedal back to the top.
